The care question
What would you like help with as you get older?
It is fine to arrive with a concern rather than a treatment in mind. Give the visit a purpose in words you already use.
Begin with a change you can describe
What has brought you here? Perhaps you want to discuss energy, sleep, weight or the way daily tasks feel. These are conversation prompts, not a list for diagnosing yourself.
- What feels different to me?
- When do I notice it?
- What would I like to ask about it?
Leave the answer open
Ask the person assessing your health what your concern might mean before talking about a product.
Choosing a treatment from a menu cannot replace an assessment of your health. This is medical board guidance checked September 26, 2026.
The patient also needs a way to put questions back to the person providing care, according to that guidance.
- What are we trying to understand?
- What would you need to find out before discussing treatment?
- Could we talk through the choices in plain words?
Give the goal a place in daily life
If “feel younger” is the thought that brought you here, what would that look like during your day? Describe the change you hope to discuss, without promising yourself an outcome.
- I would like to talk about what makes my day harder.
- I want to understand a change before choosing a treatment.
- I have heard a claim and would like help checking it.
